Carlo Oriani, Milan to Milan 1912
The Giro di Lombardia was held on October 27, 1912. The 232 km race started and finished in Milan.
Italian Carlo Oriani rode solidly in a 5 rider breakaway and sprinted past Enrico Verde (Ita) and Maurice Brocco (Fra) for the Lombardia victory.
SPECIAL NOTE: Carlo Oriani went on to win the Giro d’Italia in 1913.
