The 2nd edition of Liege-Bastogne-Liege (La Doyanne, the old lady) returned on May 28, 1893, and followed the same racecourse of the previous year. This year the twenty-six starting riders (with pacers) were all amateurs.

Defending champion Leon Houa (Bel) again controlled the race and defeated Russian/Belgian Michael Borisowski in a time of 10 hours and 40 minutes. The finish time was 8 minutes faster than the winning time in 1892.
