Ronsse Repeats with Help from a Teammate

The 1929 World Championship Road Race was held in Zurich, Switzerland.

Georges Ronsse and Belgian teammate Jef Dervaes broke away early. Nearly the entire 200 km of the race the two Belgian riders led a 5 rider breakaway into the streets of Zurich for a dazzling sprint finish. 1929 Tour of Flanders winner and teammate Jef Dervaes lead out the defending World Champion Georges Ronsse for the victory. Nicolas Frantz (Lux) was second with Italian Campionissimo Alfredo Binda third.
