A Belgian Affair
The 21st edition of Liege-Bastogne-Liege was held on June 9, 1931.
A breakaway group of eight riders arrived in Liege to contest for the victory. Alphonse Schepers (La Francaise-Dunlop) launched a brilliant sprint and crossed the finish line ahead of Marcel Houyoux (Individual) and Jean Deschepper (Dilecta-Wolber), for the victory.
Belgian Alphonse Schepers earned his second victory at La Doyenne (#1 LBL 1929).
