Cleto Maule
The 49th edition of the Giro di Lombardia was held on October 23, 1955.
A nine-rider breakaway group entered the velodrome for the final sprint. Cleto Maule jumped past Alfred de Bruyne and Angelo Conterno for the 1955 Lombardia victory. Defending champion Fausto Coppi finished in the peloton over a minute behind.
