Gino Bartali's First Lombardia Victory
Gino Bartali sprinted away from an elite breakaway group to win his first Giro di Lombardia.
SPECIAL NOTE: Lombardia organizers changed the finish area to the Vigorelli Velodrome in 1936. The sensational Bartali victory gave the velodrome a big boast as the new finish line for Lombardia.
