Fantastic Breakaway!!!
Belgian strongman Alois de Hertog broke away before the trun in Bastogne and rode solo for 156 kms. Hertog crossed the finish line with a 5 minute and 51 second advantage and claimed the 1953 Liege-Bastogne-Liege victory.
