Fons' 3rd Monument
Belgian Alfons “Fons” Schepers, winner of the 1929 and 1932 Liege-Bastogne-Liege Classic, sprinted past defending champion Romain Gijssels and Leon Tommies to win the 1933 Tour of Flanders.
SPECIAL NOTE: The 25 year old Schepers was also the amateur winner of Flanders in 1930.
