**Tour de France Question Stage 7**

Who was the last rider to win the Tour's Individual Time Trial finishing in Rennes?

Answer:

Greg LeMond during the Tour de France 1989. Stage 5 from Dinard to Rennes , 73 km. LeMond (1h38'12”) beat Pedro Delgado (+24”) and Laurent Fignon (+56”).

The rain swept course was a difficult one in 1989, rolling through the roads of Brittany . LeMond started the stage with a new aerodynamic position, featuring light alley tri-bars on the bike. LeMond used both the new technological equipment and his returning fitness to set a very fast pace into a very strong headwind.
