Barry went hard from the gun, which strung the field out and gave Gary Hoffman, Mike Theroux, and Bill Rounds a chance to slip away. One lap later Mark took another solo opportunity to blast the hill and bridge up to the weary breakaway group. In the final lap Mark lost the position he wanted and lead out the sprint. At the line Mike narrowly came around to nip Mark and Gary for the win. John Bradley (6^th), Barry Boyce (10^th) and Mauricio Puente (7^th) were all placed in the money for the day.
