Manchester Road Race August 5, 1990
Masters 35+Manchester, NH hosted the "Bicycles Battling Child Abuse" on a very technical and challenging, race course. The real action started on the backstretch when Peter Moss escaped the peloton on the longest climb of the day. Unfortunately the attack was into a stiff head wind and the chase successfully brought Peter back. Bill Sifleet took his turn off the front as the second lap started. Bill would fare no better than Peter and returned to the pack. Once caught Mark kept the pressure on with a moderate effort that met with no response. Mark said thank you very much and put the hammer down. Bill, Peter, and Mike Powers shut the chase down and Mark soloed the final lap for the victory. In the field Peter jumped on the last corner leading to the finish line and never looked back, taking a great second place. Both Bill and Mike placed well in the top 10. It was awesome August.
