The 12th edition of Liege-Bastogne-Liege was held on April 9, 1922.

This year’s Liege-Bastogne-Liege was contested in very hot weather in 1922.

A group of twenty men arrived at the finish of La Doyenne together. Louis Mottiat (Alcyon) sprinted past Albert Jordens (Automoto) and Laurent Seret (Independent) and gained his second grand L-B-L victory.

Louis 'Iron Man' Mottiat (Bel) used the difficult weather conditions to his advantage and successfully defended his 1921 L-B-L championship.
