Dolman’s Perfect Timing

Eddy Merckx tried everything to break the race apart, but nothing worked.  The peloton rolled into the closing kilometers.

The race came down to one final effort.  Dutchman Evert Dolman timed his attack to perfection and escaped.  Proudly Dolman took the prestigious Flanders victory.
