Fons' 3rd Monument

Belgian Alfons Fons Schepers, winner of the 1929 and 1932 Liege-Bastogne-Liege Classic, sprinted past defending champion Romain Gijssels and Leon Tommies to win the 1933 Tour of Flanders. The 25 year old Schepers was the also amateur winner of Flanders in 1930.
