On the eve of the first important time trial of 2005, there will be a number of non-contending riders who will use this day to attack. The roads near Barcelona are known for a constant battle and only the climb of Puerto del El Ordal after 65 kilometers will slow the attacking riders. Usually the stage to Lloret de Mar is raced at very high speed. The teams of the sprinters will have to be very careful, to limit the breakaways on the roads of Gerona .
