Stage 15 is the second journey into the Principado de Asturias. The Asturians' fondness for cycling will be clearly seen during this stage as huge crowds are expected to view the race. After all the efforts on Los Lagos, todays stage of 191 km will be very complicated and again very difficult. Two tough climbs in the first 80 km of the stage, the Alto de la Fava and the Alto de la Colladona, will mark another strong test for those prepared to win the Vuelta. From Campomanes, the start of the finishing climb to the Winter Resort at Valgrande/Pajares, the Asturians will be treated to a great race.
