Vuelta a Espana 2005: Preview and Profile Stage 14

Saturday, September 10th Stage 14: Nestle (La Penilla) to Lagos de Covadonga 172.3 Km

The queen stage of the 2005 Vuelta will happen September 10th. The stage leaves from the heart of Cantabria. The riders will face three second category climbs, the Alto de Carmona, Collada de Ozalba and Collada de la Hoz . The roads are very appropriate for attacking. The fear of the stage comes from the steep inclines of Los Lagos de Covadonga. The climb will start in Arenas de Cabrales and the final ending in Los Lagos. This stage will mark the differences of the contenders. If someone has a bad day their name won't be on the podium in Madrid .
